PRIVATE 1:1 SESSIONS - PILATES & Personal Training
We’re unashamedly Pilates centric at Fit and Fabulous. Even our Personal Training has a very strong Pilates bias.
Pilates emphasises precise and controlled movements, proper alignment, and breathing techniques that help to heal the body and help maintain youthful and painfree movement. As well as benefits such as improved strength, flexibility, posture and balance, it goes beyond physical fitness to improved mental and emotional wellbeing.
Most injuries, both when working out and in day to day life accur due to some level of imbalance or weakness in the body. This is increasingly an issue as we age and the body does not protect us or bounce back as quickly as it did in the past.
By incorporating Pilates principles and moves into your fitness regime - whether your goal is to stay young in body, overcome injury, manage menopause, get more toned or lose weight, you will be on track to do it more effectively and your body will thank you for it.

For our Pilates sessions we include a range of Pilates studio equipment and props, including half trapeze tower, reformer, barrel ladder, spine corrector, wunda chair, weights, bands and balls.Each session is tailored to your body’s needs, and is slightly different. This keeps it more interesting and nicely challenging, while still ensuring that we provide you with a highly effective and safe workout.

Our Personal training programs vary depending on your goals and what your body responds best to. They often look like Pilates sessions although we have many functional fitness props like dumbells and kettlebells in use as well.
Your program may focus completely on physical movement in the studio to help you improve your strength, tone, balance and posture. If your goal is to lose weight or manage hormonal symptoms, your program may include homework such as adjusting your diet, tracking your sleep and other contributing holistic factors.

Duets are available and popular with family members or friends who want to exercise together.
We can accommodate up to 4 people for small group privates with a frew conditions.

There are no lock in programs. Why? Because we appreciate that these don’t work for most people in the long run. We assume, that just like us, you have a busy life and your fitness and health needs to work in with this. Plus, the evidence shows that ‘overhaul programs’ rarely lead to lasting change.
You are welcome to book in and pay for a session at a time. But we do encourage you to buy a 5 or 10-session package as it is more cost effective and the looming expiry date gives you an incentive to stay consistent. With our packages you can miss one to two weeks without penalty (provided you cancel the day before). It is the longer term commitment and the consistency that your body needs for change to happen.

Angela Mills is a Pilates instructor, Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, Oncology Exercise Specialist and 3rd Age (Menopause) Coach. She is highly critical of the ‘one size fits all’ approach that the fitness industry tends to promote and prefers to work with real people.
One of Angela’s greatest passions is in tailoring fitness to people where they are at, and especially in empowering women; helping them find joy in moving, focusing on self-care and managing hormonal imbalances.
Availability
Angela is usually available for Private sessions on:
◾ Tuesdays (11am to 5pm)
◾ Wednesdays (1pm to 4.30pm)
◾ Thursdays (10am to 3pm)
Maximum of 2 sessions per week accepted per client.
